CSR strategic areas of focus

Ekinops' CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy is based on an alert (whistleblower) procedure and three strategic areas of focus:

  • Being an employer of choice
  • Being a responsible company with respect to third parties
  • Limiting the environmental impact of its activities

Being an employer of choice

Ekinops considers that the Group's main asset is its employees. As part of its human resources policy, the Group is careful to maintain and develop the skills of its employees, ensure good working conditions and preserve their well-being and health, and retain them through a policy of mobility and attractive compensation.

The development of a genuine corporate culture enables all employees to unite around a common project, driven by the desire to develop the business and by the desire to work in a positive team dynamic.

Being a responsible company with respect to third parties

Ekinops' responsibility is based on an approach of transparency and integrity with respect to third parties starting with all its stakeholders (customers, suppliers, partners, etc.).

Ekinops thus ensures that responsible systems and practices are put in place, such as the integration of social and environmental criteria into purchasing and subcontracting practices, exemplary conduct in the fight against corruption and tax evasion, the implementation of a code of ethics to prevent corruption and conflicts of interest, etc

In its relations with suppliers, Ekinops relies on ISO standards and has set up a supplier charter for selecting and evaluating external service providers.

Rules of conduct


The principles and rules of stock market ethics are the subject of a procedure and an internal memorandum distributed to all Group employees with the aim of raising awareness of the principles of behavior required of insiders, particularly during the so-called "blackout periods". The Group has also set up a list of permanent insiders and keeps it up to date.

 

Alert procedure


This alert (whistleblower) procedure is accessible to employees, corporate officers, external or temporary employees of the Ekinops Group, customers and suppliers.
The alert procedure set up within the Ekinops Group guarantees the confidentiality of the identity of the person making the report, of the facts that are the subject of the report and of the persons targeted by the report.
The alert procedure is managed by the Ethics Committee represented by two employees and a member of the Board of Directors.
It falls within the scope of the French "Sapin II" law; law n°2016-1691 of December 9, 2016

Limiting the environmental impact of its activities

Ekinops' environmental and energy management policy is based on a risk management strategy that aims to minimize the environmental impact of products and the processes associated with their manufacture, in all phases of the product life cycle.
During the design phase, Ekinops teams select environmentally friendly (or recycled) raw materials that can themselves be easily recycled, and the purchasing and production departments are aware of the need to limit the use of harmful substances (RoHS compliance) and substances that present a high risk to the environment (REACH compliance).
The group's production site in Leuven, Belgium, is ISO14001 certified and committed to programs to reduce water and energy consumption.
