Duties and Responsibilities
As a Network and Test Automation Engineer, you will actively participate in designing and developing our test framework in a physical, virtual and cloud environment, working closely with other developers, testers, and support engineers to deliver the best quality solutions. You have a full stack mindset, a strong customer focus and a willingness to automate as much as possible.
You are an all-rounder who will be involved in:
- Understanding technical requirements and building test strategies, test frameworks and/or test cases to validate those requirements
- Enhancing our test automation capabilities and framework
- Setting up new physical, virtual and cloud (Microsoft Azure) test environments as part of a team effort
- Understand the network elements of a telecom service
- Working closely with support engineers and R&D Engineers to reproduce field issues reported by customers and ensure that they are fixed in line with our contractual Service Level Agreements
- Maintaining and monitoring CI/CD pipelines and working closely with R&D Engineers to ensure that identified issues are fixed in a timely manner to keep our roadmap commitments
- Applying Ekinops processes and tools, such as Agile Development practices, DevSecOps, etc.
- Evaluating 3rd party test solutions, libraries, frameworks
- Actively participating in agile ceremonies (sprint kick-off, sprint retrospective, daily meetings, etc.)
Profile and Skills
- Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, data science, etc
- Professional experience 3 years minimum
- Deep knowledge in system, network and/or telecommunication protocols
- Strong knowledge in development, test and measurement equipment
- Experience with the following development tools is a plus: git (GitLab), Jira, Python, Shell scripting.
- Strong knowledge in networking, Linux, virtualization, and cloud solutions (Microsoft Azure)
- Experience with test acceptance at a telecom operator is a plus.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge about good security practices
- Prior experience working in Agile
