Duties and Responsibilities

As part of the Quality team of 7 people, reporting to the Group Quality Director, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Site quality Manager in charge:
    • A local ISO9001 certificate within the context of a global certification
    • A local ISO14001 certification for all the site activities.
    • Participate in the maintaining through the implementation of the actions that may come from the corporate ISO27001 certification.

This requires strong interaction with R&D department (85% S/W, 15% H/W), with the Manufacturing plant functions (EMS activity 55 people), and with the support functions present in the site to ensure alignment of operations with Corporate Procedures.

The role will have a strong component of interactions with Corporate Departments to support corporate quality initiatives and projects as well as ensure global processes are implemented.

The future Quality and Environmental manager will also participate to the PBW committee in Belgium.

Profile and skills

Technical knowledge

  • Have relevant engineering qualification.
  • Two to five years’ experience of working in a similar telecom industry environment undertaking tasks comparable to the role.
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality standards and ISO 14001 Environmental standards. Good knowledge of ISO27001 IT Security standard.
  • General understanding and knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
  • A thorough understanding of the company’s services, products and its associated markets would be advantageous.
  • Experienced Internal Auditor Registered / certified ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor is an advantage.

  • Familiar with IT Security standards and Health & Safety standards.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing and production in the industry.
  • Professional in outlook and attitude.
  • Self-motivated – improvement orientated.
  • Highly conscientious and diligent.
  • Very good written and oral communication skills in English (fluent, mandatory) and French.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with more advanced IT Skills / Knowledge advantageous.
  • Ability to travel to the various offices of the group, to suppliers’ or customers’ locations (estimated to 10 to 20% of the time).
