Ekinops, a leading provider of optical transport, DWDM and aggregation solutions, is expanding its sales channels through a distribution agreement with Laser 2000 to meet rising demand and strong growth of optical networks.
According to the terms of this agreement, Laser 2000 - the pan-European leader in optoelectronic distribution - will distribute the EKINOPS optical equipment to Tier 3 carriers. EKINOPS sells its products directly to alternative Tier 2 carriers and plans to establish partnerships with major telecom equipment suppliers to target incumbents and other parts of the carrier market.
Laser 2000 is a European company, ISO 9001-2000 certified, with five sister companies in Germany, Great Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands and Sweden. This agreement is a milestone in the sustained development of Ekinops, which is ideally positioned to take advantage of the strong growth of 10-Gigabit optical networks.
Establishing new channel partnerships greatly helps EKINOPS to increase its customer base and focus on its core business, designing and marketing high performance optical transport equipment for service providers and enterprise networks.
