Ekinops, a leading provider of next generation solutions for metro, regional and long-haul optical transport and aggregation, has been chosen by next generation operator BSO Communication to provide optimized optical transport solutions for their network.
In addition to typical transport applications, BSO Communication was interested in a capability that would allow it to differentiate its service offerings to customers from those offered by other service providers. Upon BSO Communication’s request, EKINOPS was able to deliver the capability to offer rate-managed 10Gig (10 gigabit per second) services and full rate GigE (Gigabit Ethernet) services over the same 10Gig wavelength. This enables BSO Communication to offer tailored services, while utilizing network bandwidth efficiently.
Thanks to the T-Chip, Ekinops’ innovative dynamic and programmable transport-on-a-chip technology at the heart of its 360 platform, the implementation of this differentiated and unique service offering has been a success, done in record time, allowing BSO Communication to be responsive to customer needs.
