Duties and Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a skilled technical writer to join our growing organization. In this position, you will create easy-to-understand user content and product documentation to increase product clarity, performance, and usability.

A strong knowledge base and the ability to work cooperatively with other teams are a must.

You will be part of the Logistics team in the R&D Operations department and will co-operate with your colleagues from R&D, Product Marketing, and other technical writers in France, Belgium, India & Brazil, reporting to the Director R&D Operations.

Direct job coaching is provided and you will gradually work more independently within the team.

As an R&D Technical Writer, you will:

• Work with internal teams to understand product documentation requirements
• Create strong content that meets company standards and audience goals
• Create content showing customers how to use our SD-WAN solution and how to get the most out it: writing general overviews, detailed manuals and guides, API reference pages, and tutorials.
• Write straight-forward user tutorials, installation & user guides – describing both software & hardware functionality of our equipment
• Writing blogs, white papers, and working with our marketing teams to generate public content
• Use a variety of media formats; include images and charts
• Analyze support tickets, product documentation & functionality and make improvements where necessary

Profile and skills

Qualification / Competencies:

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• Demonstrated high-level English technical writing ability
• Experience in technical writing of software documentation
• Skill in converting technical jargon to clear and concise language
• Working knowledge of Framemaker, Microsoft Office suite and DocOps (git, Markdown, reStructuredText)
• Basic knowledge of SD-WAN, NFV, networking, routers and data-communication equipment in general

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Planning and organizing skills, ability to prioritize in a challenging environment
• Customer minded (internal and/or external clients)
