R&D Web Application Development Engineer

Job Context

For 20 years, Ekinops has been driving innovation in network systems. Within the last decade, Ekinops has launched its innovative end-to-end open virtualization platform that allows clients to virtualize their network within a ZTP uCPE and manage it remotely using its NFV end-to-end solution.

Our NFV solution is autonomous, robust and easy to use and integrates the latest virtualization and acceleration technologies. To enhance and expand the solution, the NFV team is seeking a web application development engineer that will extend the NFV solution using PHP and YANG modeling.

Responsibilities

As a part of the NFV team, reporting to the NFV uCPE Team Leader you will interact with teams in Leuven, Vélizy and Bangalore. You will have the following responsibilities:

• Participate in the design and architecture of the NFV solutions
• Propose innovative methods to enhance product performance in HA setup
• Develop new functions and extend existing ones along with documentation and automated tests development
• Participate in enhancing the product GUI to make it more intuitive for end-user and hide the product’s complexity
• Disseminate your knowledge to help increase the skills and know-hows of the team in your areas of expertise

Profile and skills

An autonomous, proactive, eager to develop engineer with the following skills and experience:

• Engineering degree in Computer Science or related field
• Solid programming experience in PHP based solutions and frameworks (Laravel)
• Previous experience in HA application development
• Previous experience with Mariadb and galera like database systems is a plus
• Good knowledge of Web application security development
• Solid experience in Linux based environment and bash scripting
• Good understanding of YANG Models
• Good communication skills
• Fluent in both English and French (oral, written)
• Capacity to work in collaborative agile environment
