Within the last decade, Ekinops has launched its innovative end-to-end open virtualization platform that allows clients to virtualize their network within a ZTP uCPE and manage it remotely using its NFV end-to-end solution. Our NFV solution is autonomous, robust and easy to use and integrates the latest virtualization and acceleration technologies. To enhance and expand the solution, the NFV team is seeking a Yocto or embedded software engineer who will contribute to build up Yocto based product lines.
Responsibilities
As a part of the Linux NFV team, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Participate in the design and architecture of the NFV product that leverages the embedded Linux distributions
- Propose innovative methods to enhance product Quality while remaining aligned with upstream Yocto
- Share the usage of Yocto and Bitbake within the team
- Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements
- Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software
- Disseminate your knowledge to help increase the skills and know-hows of the team in your areas of expertise
Profile and skills
An autonomous, proactive, embedded engineer with the following skills and experiences:
- Engineering degree in networking and Computer Science or related field
- Some proven experiences in embedded systems
- Solid experience in Linux based environment
- Know-hows in Python and C development
- Previous experience with Linux kernel modules and network drivers is necessary
- Abilities to communicate with opensource communities: understanding of github pull request, git format patch, gerrit contributions
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in both English and French (oral, written)
- Capacity to work in collaborative agile environment
- Ability to work well under pressure.
