Within the last decade, Ekinops has launched its innovative end-to-end open virtualization platform that allows clients to virtualize their network within a ZTP uCPE and manage it remotely using its NFV end-to-end solution. Our NFV solution is autonomous, robust and easy to use and integrates the latest virtualization and acceleration technologies. To enhance and expand the solution, the NFV team is seeking an Embedded Linux python engineer that will extend the NFV solution in order to combine virtualization and networking for a telecom grade edge NFVi product line.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a part of the NFV team, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design and architecture of the NFV product: uCPE/OVP
  • Propose innovative methods to enhance product performance and Quality
  • Develop new features along with their automated tests and documentation
  • Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software
  • Disseminate your knowledge to help increase the skills and know-hows of the team in your areas of expertise

Profile and skills

An autonomous, proactive, embedded engineer with the following skills and experience:

  • Engineering degree in networking and Computer Science or related field
  • Some proven experiences in embedded systems
  • Solid experience in Linux based environment
  • Expert in Python and C development
  • Previous experience with Linux kernel modules and network drivers is necessary
  • Good understanding of virtualization technologies: qemu, KVM, SRIOV, pci-passhtru
  • If possible, previous experience with network accelerators (DPDK, VPP, OVS-DPDK or ODP/OpenDataPlane)
  • Previous experience with network security applications (certificate management)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in both English and French (oral, written)
  • Capacity to work in collaborative agile environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
