Ekinops designs and manufactures routers, VoIP solutions and optical transport systems for customers worldwide. For our production plant in Belgium, we are searching for a repair technician to help in our production process of the OneAccess product line.
Purpose of the job
During the manufacturing process, products have to pass several tests (e.g. JTAG, functional testing, etc.) and inspections (e.g. AOI). When a defect or abnormality is found on the product, it goes to the repair technician.
He / she has to investigate, diagnose the root cause of the fault and repair the semi-finished product so that it can continue its journey in the plant towards the end customer. Such a repair entails the replacement of components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) or fixing soldering issues. The goal is to minimize the scrapping of stuffed PCBs (SPCBs) because of small repairable defects or failed component installation.
Next to production repair, occasionally, he/she also helps to repair and diagnose products that come back from customers in the RMA repair department.
